New Patients
We are not accepting new adult assessment requests (18 and over) at this time.

The psychiatrists at Autisme M.D. are currently focusing on evaluating adult patients already on our waitlist.

Any changes regarding the reopening of the waitlist will be posted on our website. In the meantime, we encourage you to contact your primary care physician, who can help you find other resources suited to your needs.

Existing Patients
It is important to understand that in adults, it is sometimes impossible to determine with certainty whether an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is present. However, the psychiatrists will do their best to provide an accurate assessment.
We contact patients on our waitlist by email and phone to:

-
Schedule an appointment
-
Obtain the required documents to complete the file

It is essential to respond to our calls or emails to confirm your appointment and provide the necessary information or documents.
Without a response, we will not be able to schedule an appointment, and your request may be removed from the waitlist.
Mandatory participation of a parent or close relative
During the first assessment appointment, questions focus on the patient’s early childhood (around ages 4–5).

For adult patients, the participation of a parent or close relative who knew the patient during early childhood is mandatory. This participation can take place in person or by phone.

Our assessment tools rely on specific information about the patient’s early development, which can only be obtained through the account of a parent or close relative who knew the patient well at that time (with a sufficient age difference to have reliable memories).

Without this contribution, it is unfortunately not possible to conduct a valid assessment.
